ZN181 CAN Gateway Set Contents
The ZN181 CAN Gateway Set contains the CAN gateway device, cable CB601 and CB602 cable. The CB601 cable is used to connect the CAN gateway to AVDI, the CB602 cable is used to connect the EZS/EIS, or the electronic ignition switch to the CAN gateway in order to be able to program keys.

Setting Modules to Virgin State
Setting MCM (control module) and TCU (transmission control module) from Mercedes-Benz trucks is made very convenient with the CB603 cable for connecting to MCM modules, and the CB604 cable for connection to TCU modules. Personalization of MCM and TCU Modules to the EZS Completely on Bench
The whole personalization of the MCM and TCU modules on bench using the ZN181 CAN Gateway Set requires the EZS module to be present. In this process, you personalize these units to the electronic ignition switch. First, you need to reset the modules, which is done almost instantly with the click of the “Virgin” button in the software. Keep in mind that the reset step is a must, especially when you are working with second-hand modules! Once you are done with the setting to virgin state step, you can go on to personalizing them, again intuitively, by clicking the “Personalize” button. After that, the activation of the modules happens when they are installed in the truck. Watch the whole procedure in the video below:
